In a devastating incident, a female suicide bomber set off an improvised explosive device (IED) at a wedding in Gwoza town, Borno State. The attack resulted in numerous casualties and left many injured.
Eyewitnesses report that the assailant, who had a baby strapped to her back, infiltrated the wedding venue and triggered the explosive device. The tragic event took place on Saturday at Tashan Mararaba, near the Fire Service in Gwoza town.
While the exact number of fatalities remains unconfirmed, several wounded individuals are currently receiving medical care at the General Hospital in Gwoza, including the source of this report.
As of now, security officials have not released any statements regarding the attack.
