Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has said that he cannot give his kidney and liver to remain a governor stating that people should stop apologising on his behalf.

He was responding to the former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike who was in Rivers State at the weekend to receive an award conferred on him by the Ijaw Rivers Congress.

Wike had told his supporters that he was in charge of the political structure of the state.

However, Fubara  in what appeared to be a response to the former governor was  heard in a video on X  saying, “I won’t give my kidney or liver to remain governor; nobody should apologise for me.”

He said that he was willing to stand alone for what is right, adding, “If I’m the only person who needs to stand on that side of right, I will stand there. I don’t need anybody to stand with me.”
