A police source told the New York Post that the man left behind a note. The Post report indicates that police were speaking with the building’s super around 9am.

According to StreetEasy, the building dates back to 1905 and is divided into eight private units. In 2022, one unit was rented for $9,000 per month.

This is the latest in a string of jumps that have occurred from fancy Manhattan buildings in recent weeks.

Last week, a 35-year-old woman died after jumping from a high-rise known as The Brittany, close to Mayor Eric Adams’ residence in Gracie Mansion.

In October, a 47-year-old man jumped to his death from the Gotham Hotel in Midtown. While in the summer, three men died within the space of two days after taking their own lives.

One of those men died from jumping from a luxury high-rise.
