In a bid towards strengthening digital identity in Nigeria, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and the House of Representatives Committee on Population held a retreat to explore areas of collaboration and foster a harmonious working relationship.
The retreat, themed “Identity Management and Legislative Oversight,” aimed to re-acquaint committee members with NIMC’s activities, mandate, and mission.
According to Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, NIMC’s Director General, “The retreat will provide the needed environment for lawmakers and the management of the commission to identify possible areas of collaboration and build a harmonious working relationship towards the success of digital identity in Nigeria.”
