The competition, open to primary, secondary, and tertiary institution students, aims to encourage creativity and celebrate individual identity.

According to Kayode Adegoke, NIMC’s head of corporate communications, the logo design should include a concept explanation not exceeding 200 words. The theme for this year’s National Identity Day is “Digital Public Infrastructure: Enabling Access to Services.”

The competition is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their artistic skills and contribute to the development of NIMC’s visual identity. Winners from each category will be invited to the Identity Day ceremony in Abuja, where they will receive awards from the Director-General of NIMC.

The deadline for submissions is August 16, and designs should be sent to idday2024@nimc.gov.ng. NIMC staff and family members are excluded from participating, and joint designs are allowed. The commission emphasizes that the competition is free, and late submissions will not be accepted.
