A police officer assigned to the Jos Metropolitan Development Board’s enforcement team was tragically killed in an unintentional shooting at Terminus Market in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, on Wednesday.
The video shared on African Independent Television X.com handle on Thursday, shows a policeman lying dead on the ground.
The state government has recently sent out security personnel, including police officers and soldiers, to enforce laws prohibiting street trading in the area.
Tear gas was used to disperse the crowd after the unanticipated event caused unrest in the area.
