15-Year-Old Herder Arrested for Cutting Farmer’s Hand in Bauchi

A 15-year-old herder, identified as Adamu Ibrahim, has been apprehended by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly severing the hand of a farmer.

The incident occurred during a heated altercation over encroachment into the farmer’s land.

According to the spokesperson for the police command, SP Ahmed Wakil, the suspect was taken into custody by operatives of the Area Command Metro.

The arrest was made in Jital village, located along Gombe Road in Bauchi State. Ibrahim is facing charges of trespassing, mischief, and inflicting severe bodily harm.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered the traumatic amputation of his hand during the confrontation.
