It is crucial to be aware of the several public holidays that Nigeria will observe throughout the year as we begin the New Year in 2023. The federal government designates some days as public holidays, which result in the closure of schools, companies, banks, and government offices on those days.

A public holiday in Nigeria is a day designated by the government for celebration or observation by all citizens. Public holidays may be accompanied by a variety of cultural or religious events or ceremonies in addition to the regular suspension of work, school, and other activities. Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas are a few instances of public holidays in Nigeria. These holidays may differ from one section of the nation to another and are often established by federal or state law.
