Calabar: Violence Erupts at Govt College as Students Import Gangsters for School Brawl

A disturbing incident unfolded at Government College Ikot Ansa in Calabar, where students from Senior Secondary Two (SS2) reportedly brought in gang members to confront their seniors in Senior Secondary Three (SS3).

 

Amateur footage captured the chaotic scenes where students were engaged in a violent clash, wielding sticks and metal objects, and throwing punches.

The video revealed a tumultuous atmosphere with some students fighting fiercely while others either stood by or ran to safety.

Amidst the commotion, the voice of an individual, believed to be a teacher, was heard shouting out a student’s name, indicating that the student was bleeding, and demanding that the students leave, signaling an abrupt end to the school day’s activities.

The school, situated within close proximity to the Zone 6 Command of the Nigerian Police Force and not far from the Federal Housing Police Division, is now at the center of concerns regarding the infiltration of gang activities into educational institutions.
