Former LASU VC, Fagbohun Resumes To University, Returns To Classroom

The immediate past Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun (SAN),  has resumed to the university following the conclusion of his Sabbatical and accumulated deferred Leave from the institution.

Prof. Fagbohun, who left the university in January 2021 at the end of his five-year tenure as Vice Chancellor, returned to the classroom at the Faculty of Law of the university on Monday, 18th December 2023.

On his return on Monday, Prof. Fagbohun’s first visit was to the office of the Vice Chancellor, where he was given a warm reception befitting of a former Vice Chancellor by no other than the Chairman Governing Council of the Institution, Sir. David Sunmoni, FCA, KJW, and the current Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.

The trio were soon joined by other members of the university management, DVC, Academic, Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan; DVC, Administration, Prof. Adenike Boyo; Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel A. FANU and Bursar, Mr. Said Babatunde Olayinka as well as the dean, faculty of Law, Prof. Kareem Olatoye, in a brief meeting.

At the meeting, the former VC said, “I am committed to the success of the current administration. If the VC succeeds, then I, as her predecessor, would have been deemed to have succeeded. And if she fails, then I would have failed.

“I am happy to be back at LASU. Thank you for receiving me. I can’t wait to return to class”
