The images of a seemingly massacred student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye identified as Onadipe Oluwatosin, also known as Peckulia has gone viral and Nigerian police officers have been accused as alleged culprits in the gruesome murder involved motor park operators at a park called chips.
The revelation and serious allegations were made by Oluwabunmi Micheal Awoyemi on his X handle @Harwohyehmi1, an incident in which the national police chief, Prince Oluwamuyiwa Adéjọbí was tagged for investigations and justice.
According to Awoyemi’s Tuesday tweet, “On Sunday 17th of December, Onadipe Oluwatosin (Peckulia) was said to have gone to Ago-Iwoye park (chips) to preach the gospel to people.”

However, the park chairman, accused of disturbing his peace, chased Oluwatosin. When Oluwatosin continued preaching, a man, identified as the former park chairman, allegedly struck him on the head with a heavy vulcanizer iron rod.

It was further alleged that the police were called to intervene, but instead of providing medical attention, Oluwatosin went missing for over a week. His body was later found on the Ijebu-Ijesha road, staged to look like a motor accident.

The tweet reads, “They carried him to the spot where he was found, threw away his phone and made it all look like a motor accident, they made sure they carried him far away to a spot out of their jurisdiction, and even when the body was found, reports wouldn’t be made at their own police station.”

Photos posted on Instagram by OOU Queens were posted by Awoyemi in the tweet.

The family was initially led to believe that they had lost their son in a tragic motor accident. However, an anonymous eyewitness reached out to the family, revealing the alleged series of events at the park that day.
This incident has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation into the allegations. The public awaits the government’s response to these serious accusations.
Ogun State police command confirmed the tragic incident in a statement stating that investigations have started.
The statement reads: The Command have noted this complaint and pledge to swiftly commence an investigation on the allegation, so as to unravel the conundrum behind his sudden death.”
