A 60-year-old school proprietor, Ahmed Wasiu and two others were on Tuesday arraigned before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for forgery.
Others also arraigned with him; Omolara Adams and Toheerat Adeleke, were said to have conspired and forged a basic school certificate.
The police prosecutor, Kayode Adepoju, told the court that the offences were committed at No.1, Diamond Avenue, along New Owode Road Abere, Osogbo on January 25, 2021, when the defendants con
Adepoju also said Omolara had tricked Toheerat into paying a sum of N5,000, promising to enrol her for the Basic Education Certificate Education, which she failed to do.
The offences committed were said to have contravened Sections 519(9), 467 and 421 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 2 of Laws of Osun state Nigeria 2002.
The claimants pleaded not guilty to the counts bordering on conspiracy and forgery pressed against them.

Their counsel, Mr Daramola Olalekan, urged the court to admit his clients to bail.

The presiding magistrate, Abayomi Ajala, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N250,000 with one surety each and adjourned the case till February 23, 2021.
