The National Assembly leadership and that of the organised Labour, NLC and TUC are presently holding a marathon apparently to nip in the bud, the proposed national strike.
Also present are principal officers, Chairmen of various Committees from both Chambers.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume led the Ministers for the meeting while, the NLC President, Joe Ajeoro led members of the organised Labour.
Akpabio while welcoming them said that they as lawmakers are not taking the job of the Executive or that of Labour, saying that it will be difficult to negotiate while on strike.
Ajeoro on his part said that what they are fighting for is living wages for workers.
The meeting has entered into an Executive session for them to brainstorm.
