President Bola Tinubu has resumed the chairmanship of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which reconvened on Tuesday after a six-week break since the last session.

The previous meeting, held on May 13th and 14th, was marked by a comprehensive review of numerous memoranda.

Today’s meeting has seen almost all members of the Cabinet in attendance, with notable absences including Vice President Kashim Shettima and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, who were not present in the Council Chambers at the start of the session.

Among those present are Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, President’s Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Head of Service of the Federation Folashade Yemi-Esan, and other key officials.

The resumption of FEC meetings signals a return to critical governance matters and underscores the administration’s commitment to addressing key national issues.
