President Bola Tinubu has addressed concerns about potential manipulation by interest groups in his administration’s economic reforms, stating that his election campaign was entirely self-funded.
“My campaign was financed solely with my own money,” There were times when the odds seemed insurmountable, with banks shut down, but by the grace of Allah, I became President. Now, my duty is to follow the guidance of the Almighty, Tinubu said during a meeting with Islamic leaders at the State House.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of a clear conscience in leadership, highlighting it as a defense against corruption. He also warned against protests driven by anger and hatred, suggesting they could lead to violence and hinder the country’s progress.
Additionally, he revealed plans to revamp the social welfare scheme and increase the minimum wage.
