The Ogun State political circle has been thrown into mourning with the sudden passing of Rt Hon Tokunbo Oshin, a former Deputy Speaker in the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Oshin, a fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration and awardee of NICA in Customer Credit Integrity, was a renowned educationist and businessman.
Until his death, Oshin was a Non-Executive Director of Gateway Mortgage Bank Limited and had served on various governing councils, including Ogun State University and Ogun State College of Education.
He was also a member of the Board of Small & Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and had acted as Board Chairman between 2018 and 2022.
Oshin’s contributions to the education sector were notable, having worked as a Mathematics/Education lecturer at the Ogun State College of Education for sixteen years. His business ventures, Zipest Ventures Limited, owned several filling stations across Ogun State and Ibadan.
His demise has left a void in the political and business communities.
