A suspected member of the Ayé Confraternity, known as Mosquito, was killed in a cult clash in Ijagun Road, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased was hacked to death during a violent altercation on Sunday night.
The spokesperson for the command, Omolola Odutola, said the police received a call from residents at 11:40 p.m. and found the body of the deceased with multiple cuts and gunshot wounds.
Odutola added that the suspects severed the wrist of the deceased and took it away.
