Abiodun Hails Siting Of Customs N73bn Zonal Office, Training School

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended the Nigeria Customs Service for siting its N73bn Zonal Office and Training School at the Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport in the state.

The governor said the project would improve the state’s status as the industrial hub of the nation and enhance the operations of the proposed Kajola Inland Dry Port and the Olokola Seaport.

Abiodun said, “The location of the school near the Agro-Cargo Airport would enable the Customs to carry out its duty of ensuring due process for the import and export of goods in and out of the country.” He appreciated the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr Adewale Adeniyi, for ensuring the continuity of the project.

The Comptroller General said the project would provide direct and indirect jobs to hundreds of people in the area and called for the support of the government and people of the state to make it a reality. He also announced the establishment of a Customs University in Lagos.
