An early morning fire outbreak at the Lagos State Government Staff Quarters on Odunsanmi Street, off WEMPCO Road, in Ogba, Lagos, has left a trail of destruction in its wake.

The fire, which started around 2:20 a.m., affected a two-bedroom apartment in Flat 5, located in Block 21 of the building, and destroyed property worth millions of naira.

According to Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the fire was caused by an electrical surge in the children’s room.
