Billionaire business mogul Femi Otedola has praised his friend and business partner, Aliko Dangote, for the successful operation of his 650,000 barrels per day refinery.
Otedola congratulated Dangote on Tuesday, shortly after Dangote unveiled the first sample of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol.
Otedola recalled that the refinery idea was conceived 25 years ago to transform Nigeria’s energy landscape and liberate Nigerians from economic dependence.
He noted that Dangote’s determination and vision have finally made this a reality, despite initial setbacks.
The refinery, according to Otedola, will not only provide fuel but also deal a significant blow to local cabals who have profited from Nigeria’s economic dependence. He also alluded to how Dangote revolutionized the cement industry in Nigeria and envisages a similar transformation with the refinery.

Otedola appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his support towards the realization of this “monumental project”. He argued that Dangote’s contributions, which extend beyond industrial facilities to critical infrastructure, must be recognized and supported by all means.
