Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to act swiftly as the country is being razed by incessant attacks and killings.

In a statement on social media, the Northern statesman said that all Nigerians should be protected. He condemned the threats of reprisal in the North and said that any Nigerian living in any part of the country must be protected.

“Attacking innocent southerners living in the north will not be the right response to attacks on northerners in the south,” Baba-Ahmed said.
