The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has announced the approval of a private airstrip at Canaanland, the headquarters of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, located in Ota, Ogun State.

David Oyedepo, the church’s founder, revealed this significant development during the Tehillah Night Special Edition at Covenant University Chapel on Sunday, where he celebrated with the congregation. “I am sure you will be glad to know that the Federal Government has approved an airstrip for Canaanland,” he stated.

The approval is expected to facilitate direct travel from the church premises, allowing Oyedepo and church members with aircraft to bypass conventional airports. “I won’t need to fly a helicopter to the airport. I can leave from here to wherever I am going,” he added.

Keyamo’s media aide, Tunde Moshood, confirmed the approval, emphasizing its status as a private airstrip. The initiative aims to enhance transportation for worshippers, particularly during large events that attract attendees from across the globe.

Oyedepo also took the opportunity to inspire young people in his congregation, highlighting the achievements of Covenant University graduates in aviation, urging them to find their purpose in God’s plan. “Young people, don’t play away your life; you don’t have a spare,” he cautioned.
