The Osogbo community is enveloped in grief following the passing of Ajadi Badmus, the Asiwaju of Osogboland, who died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 83.
Sources close to the family have confirmed the news to Daily Post.
Hailing from the esteemed Adekilekun dynasty in the Isale-Osun area of Osogbo, Badmus was the elder brother of prominent businessman Alhaji Khamis Olatunde Badmus, the Chairman of TUNS FARM and Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland.
At this time, the family has not released details regarding the circumstances of his death or the arrangements for his burial.
Ajadi Badmus succeeded Pa Ahmed Omidiran as the Asiwaju of Osogboland in 2022. Omidiran, a notable business tycoon, passed away the same year at the age of 95.
The loss of Alhaji Badmus is deeply felt within the community, where he was celebrated for his leadership and significant contributions.
