A 24-Year-Old man identified as Dada Adesonye, has reportedly died by suicide in Ogun State.
The Ogun State police command, who confirmed the report, said Adesonye died by hanging.
His body was reportedly found on a tree in the Afami area of Imasayi, Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun State.
Confirming the incident, Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said the suicide was reported at about 8:27 am by an employee at Dangote Cement Transport in Ibese, Afami Road.
She said there was no sign of violence on the victim’s body adding that the corpse has been released to the family for burial.
According to her, “On October 18, 2024, at approximately 08:27 am, the Divisional Police Officer reported a suspected suicide incident. An Assistant at Dangote Cement Transport in Ibese informed the Dangote Police Post that he discovered a lifeless body around 8:10 am.
