At least ten students from Good Shepherd Catholic Catering School in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, have been hospitalized following a gas explosion in the school’s kitchen.

The explosion occurred in the early hours of Friday while students were engaged in cooking activities.

Comrade Emmanuel Nwizi, the father of one of the affected students, revealed that the explosion was allegedly triggered by an Android phone brought into the kitchen by a student.
