Bobrisky Detained at FCID After Attempting to Exit Nigeria

Controversial crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been transferred to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, where he spent the night in detention following his arrest at the Seme border.

A source revealed that Bobrisky was taken into custody by officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to leave the country. He was brought to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday for safekeeping.

The source confirmed, “He is in detention at the FCID, Alagbon. He was arrested on Sunday, detained overnight, and taken to the FCID, Alagbon.”

Mayegun Aminat, the spokesperson for the FCID in Lagos, confirmed the detention, stating, “He is with us and we are to get a remand to keep him in custody today.”

The NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, characterized Bobrisky as a person of interest related to ongoing public concerns, explaining, “In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country.”
