The recently freed abducted students, teachers and family members of Government Science College Kagara in Niger will undergo psychosocial therapy, the Niger State Government has stated.

She said the Ministry would be sending a team of professional social workers and counsellors from the Ministry of Women Affairs, Child Rights Agency and Ministry of Education to reach out to the students and their parents as well as the teachers and their families in their various locations.

Salihu stated the step to reach out and mitigate the effects of the trauma on the students’ psyche is fundamental to the students and their parents as it will regulate the negative experiences of their abduction.
