BREAKING: Fire Breaks Out On Lagos Blue Line Rail Section

A fire has broken out on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track near the NEPA Station, close to Eko Bridge in Apogbon, Lagos State.

Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a post on social media, said the incident occurred at around 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.

He said there was no casualty and  that train services were not in operation at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile,  he said emergency responders and safety personnel have been dispatched to the scene and quickly brought the situation under control, extinguishing the fire to ensure safety on the Blue Line track.

“Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.

“Kindly await further details on the operations of the train from @Lamataonline,” the post concluded.
