Nigerian comedian and actor, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba, has humorously commented on the situation involving former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, and his dealings with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
It has been reported that the EFCC has accused Bello of misappropriating ₦80.2 billion among other allegations.
During a recent media briefing, the head of the EFCC expressed determination to resign if he failed to prosecute Bello, whom he accused of avoiding arrest, detention, and prosecution.

In a post on Instagram, Ali Baba advised Yahaya Bello to appear in court and demonstrate that the money being attributed to him by the EFCC is legitimately his. He emphasized the need for Bello to address the accusations against him, considering the significant embarrassment he has endured from the EFCC.

Ali Baba suggested, “If I were Yahaya Bello, I would go to court to prove it’s my money. Then, I would explain how I earned it. After winning the case, I would pursue legal action against the school, EFCC, the federal government, the police, bloggers, and others, seeking redress of $3 billion.”
He further remarked on the impact of the situation on Bello’s reputation and expressed disdain for witch-hunting tactics. Ali Baba emphasized that if he were in Bello’s position, he would seek significant restitution for the embarrassment endured, implying that the accused deserves justice.
