Former Kogi State governorship aspirant Dino Melaye has taken a firm stand against Tesla CEO Elon Musk, threatening to sell his Tesla vehicle if Musk continues his criticism of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the impending presidential election.
This statement comes in light of Musk’s recent remarks and significant financial backing for Republican candidate Donald Trump.
In a post on social media platform X, Melaye expressed his discontent, stating, “If Elon Musk will not stop harassing Kamala H., I will sell my Tesla and advise my friends to do the same. America should not lose her pride as the global democratic police.”
Musk has recently faced backlash for his comments regarding Harris, including a controversial joke made at a church event about potential assassination attempts against her.
His support for Trump has also manifested in substantial financial contributions, reportedly exceeding $119 million directed towards Trump’s campaign efforts.
