Absa Faye is from Dakar. Her education began in Ben Tally and later continued in Keur Massar. After graduating from school, Absa Faye decided to study at Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique (ESP) in Dakar, where she studied management from 2010-2012. It was there she met her future husband who was her teacher.

At the beginning of their relationship, Faye had no plans to share his life with Absa. His plans focused on devoting himself to his first wife and their children. He struggled with his feelings, but over time, charmed by Absa’s intelligence, discipline and brilliance, he fell in love. Absa Faye, he claimed, mastered the teachings perfectly and demonstrated extensive knowledge on every subject.

This love was not interrupted even by Absa’s departure to France, where she took up a job in a bank. Despite the distance, Absa and Faye kept in constant contact. In 2022, Faye wanted to marry Absa as his second wife, but due to the illness of his older brother, Thierno Faye, he had to postpone the wedding. Only on February 4, 2023, their relationship was sealed by members of both families.

Absa Faye, despite difficulties, has always stood by her husband, who is currently the fifth president of the Republic of Senegal.

“This story shows not only the strength of their love, but also the determination and loyalty that are necessary in a relationship, especially when this relationship is put to the test in front of the entire nation”
