Mixed reactions have continued to trail the video showing students’ refusal to turn up in class of Mr. Phillip Musa, a lecturer in the Department of Public Administration.
Recall that Mr Musa, stirred the internet on Tuesday after he recorded himself teaching an empty class.
It was a dramatic moment when none of the HND2, Public Administration Students attended the class.
The lecturer was seen in the video stating that the topic for the week would not be repeated.
It was gathered that the students ended their examination two weeks ago while some students in the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro finished their last paper last week.
However, students have continued to drop reactions on the video and stating the reasons why they were yet to resume for classes .
According to one of the students of the institution, Ìdòwú Deborah, she explained how tough the last semester was on the students. She also said that the festive period would be an opportunity for parents to prepare for resumption.

She said, “ Last semester took its toll on the students mentally, financially and physically. A week is not enough for parents to get provisions and money for their children. The festive period is an opportunity for parents to prepare for the resumption. ”
Also, another student who pleaded anonymity said financial imbalance may stir students from coming to class and that some may decide to wait till after festive period.
In her words, “Some of them might be undergoing financial crisis, while some of them want to wait till after the Ileya festival before resuming.”
Meanwhile, a former president of Hospitality Management, Opeyemi Basit (aka. Comrade Alfa) said the students needed to rest, stating that some of the students finished their last paper last week Friday and also, the festive period, ‘Ileya’ is close by.
He said they need to rest properly to continue their academic pursuit.
“This is serious, i am telling you, Some of them decided to stay back till after Ileya.

“They are still resting for last semester. The last semester for hospitality students was finished last week Friday. They did their practical after exams.
“They don’t have enough time to rest, they need adequate rest to continue their academic pursuit.”
In the same vein, another student Erinosho Opeyemi said, “Maybe because they think lecture won’t start or lecturer won’t come to class.
“They can’t come to school and still go back for the festival. ”
