Mary is claimed to have broken her legs after allegedly being abused by the police constable, and had gone to the hospital to seek treatment before the officer went in and shot her, according to Njoro Subcounty Police Commander Jonathan Kisaka, who confirmed the event.

“It’s a depressing morning in Njoro. At around 0023 hours, the OCS Njoro got information about a patient who had gone to the hospital for treatment after being assaulted by a man she claimed was her lover.

Another individual arrived at the hospital shortly after, and it was eventually discovered that he was the one who had assaulted her. He was armed, and he fired a shot from his Ak 47 rifle at the patient. Kisaka added, “He was eventually identified as a police officer stationed at the Njoro Police Station.”
