Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikToker Ojesanmi Afeez, known as Oloba Salo, was shot in the Lekki area.

Tunde Perry, a friend of his, sounded the alarm on Thursday.

Perry, who is also a TikToker, reported that Oloba Salo is in serious condition at Perez Medcare Hospital in Lekki Phase 2 after being shot in the leg by thieves who stole his gold chain.

“They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at one filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital and I have gone there now.”

A viral video revealed Oloba Salo’s white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz marked with blood, and a bullet casing was located on the driver’s seat.

Prior to this, Oloba Salo had requested his manager, referred to as Sula, in a video to get him some security.

“Sula, please provide me with security. I ought to have had. Help me with one mopol, Sula, my daddy,” he screamed.

Also known as Ogba president, the content creator had a run-in with TikToker Tobi Nation when Tobi moved into a new place.

Oloba Salo asserted that he linked Tobi with the agent who sold him his Lekki house, but Tobi countered that he didn’t agree to the suggested payment method.

Tobi mentioned he wanted to see Oloba in the hospital after the incident but was not allowed in.

Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin acknowledged the doctors at Evercare Hospital in a post on X.

“Special appreciation/commendation to Evercare Hospital, Lekki for promptly accepting/commencing medical treatment of gunshot victim, Ojesanmi Afeez aka Oloba Salo, and equally promptly notifying the Police,” he wrote, urging other hospitals not to reject gunshot victims.
