‘On The Water,’ Aboderin-Talabi captures entrepreneurship spirit of young Makoko boy in new book

As the world marks the 2023 Children Day,  Olubunmi Aboderin – Talabi has released a new book that captures the entrepreneurship spirit of a young boy from the Makoko community in Lagos.
Titled, ‘On The Water,’ it is an enchanting early reader book about an enterprising young boy who sails out in a floating supermarket, selling provisions to his neighbours living on a lagoon.
The delightful story features poignant illustrations set in Makoko, Lagos and  suitable for ages 2 to 6.
The new Children’s picture book is aimed at helping readers of all ages embark on an extraordinary adventure.
The book according to the author is about  a young boy from the Makoko community as he sails through the day with his floating supermarket, selling soup ingredients and yummy fufu to his neighbours.
This early reader children’s book captures the spirit of entrepreneurship and resilience in the face of challenges.
Aboderin – Talabi describes the book as a  simple storyline, with poignant illustrations that will transport readers of all ages to the canals of Lagos.
