A policeman has been knocked off a bridge in Lagos after traffic regulation officials attempted to arrest a car owner who was flouting the traffic laws. The area where the event unfolded has been identified by a Twitter user as the airport road inward Oshodi.
A video posted by @GIDITRAFFIC shows a LASTMA official trying to open the door of the vehicle whilst the driver was trying to maneuver away from his impending arrest. The driver then made a wild reverse and knocked off another armed police officer off the bridge.
The officials in the background can be heard yelling in terror at the development, and a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official can be seen wielding the policemans gun in a reckless manner; attempting to break the window of the driver with the butt of the gun.

When the driver noticed the commotion outside the vehicle, he succumbed to the cries to unlock the car doors and was visibly shocked when he was hurriedly informed that he had just knocked an official off the bridge, which is of a considerable height.
The driver began to yell uncontrollably, and was then led into a supposed official vehicle which was not fully captured in the video.

According to Twitter users, the bridge inward airport road has been closed, and so vehicles resort to one-way traffic travel in order to reach their destination.

Luckily, the policeman that was knocked off the brigde miraculously survived, as he seemed to have fallen awkwardly to his speculated demise.
