Police said a customer who “simply wanted to kill someone” randomly killed a female Uber driver who also worked for the police.

Yolanda Dillion, 54, was fatally stabbed by 29-year-old Brandon Jacobs, who is then suspected of posting a video of the violent aftermath to Facebook.

On Thursday, December 8, after picking him up for his trip, the passenger allegedly killed his victim from the backseat of her vehicle in Louisiana, United States.

After being detained by police on suspicion of the crime, he proceeded to stroll to a hotel where he had reserved a room in advance.

Sheriff Joseph Lopinto announced the alleged confession in which Jacobs allegedly told authorities the reason for the vicious attack on Thursday, as well as the fact that Yolanda had been killed, during a press conference.
Lopinto clarified: “His admission essentially said that he decided to kill someone and make that his day when he got up yesterday morning.

“We specifically questioned him on how he selected her. In answer, he said, “Uber picked her, not me.” She was the haphazard individual who picked him up that day.

“In the backseat, he was. from behind stabbed her. exited the car and merely strolled away.”

Yolanda was adored by her coworkers and she worked as a budget administrator for the New Orleans Police Department.

She will be sorely missed, said chief Shaun Ferguson. She was quite reserved and modest. Because she meant a lot to this department and it devastated our employees, I would describe her as a quiet giant.

The Jefferson Parish Sherriff’s Office said that the suspect was apprehended “within hours of the murder” in a statement.

“Our investigation has revealed that the victim was an Uber driver giving Jacobs a ride from a place in New Orleans to the hotel,” they claimed.

Jacobs repeatedly stabbed her after the ride was over before getting out of the car.
