In a recent video clip that has surfaced, the National Treasurer of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Caroline Anze-Bishop, has made a bold statement regarding the consent of her office in a controversial move by the President.
Anze-Bishop made the disclosure during the NBA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, September 1, 2023. She said she was not given the opportunity to review the financial statement before it was presented to the AGM.

“I have complained severally, on the 15th day of August 2023 at the National Executive Committee meeting in the presentence of every national official seated here, the president brought out a sledgehammer on me and said he does not require to consult or get consent of my office to be able to run the financial affairs of this association,” Anze-Bishop said.
