The Vice-Chancellor of Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, Prof. Charles Ayo, has said that focusing on problem-based learning, research-informed learning, critical thinking, innovation and creativity will help to produce globally competitive graduates.
He spoke at the virtual matriculation of the university involving about 74 students admitted for the 2019/2020 academic session, who took the matriculation oath at the ceremony.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, Pastor Samuel Olatunji, advised students to be equipped with the skills and attitudes that would bring solutions to problems.

The Director of Academic Planning, National Universities Commission, Dr Noel Saliu urged universities to constantly review their curriculum and use modern teaching methods.
Saliu added that universities would do well when they employ quality teaching staff and put in place adequate facilities and infrastructure.
He stated that experts at industries could be invited by universities to teach relevant aspects of the curriculum.
