Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on Friday visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

The former president’s visit came a day after the Supreme Court affirmed the election of Tinubu in the February 2023 presidential election.

Though the meeting was closed-door, Jonathan told State House Correspondents that Nigeria still has what it takes to lead Africa despite the economic challenges.

According to him, elections are over, saying that the country must move forward.

”Yes, we have challenges economically now, but we still have what it takes to lead Africa,” Jonathan added.

Jonathan said he had been involved in a number of things in West Africa and Africa, saying that he would be in Kenya on Saturday and in Liberia on November 14.

“So, I am like a roving Ambassador seeing how we can bring peace to the sub-region and the continent,” the former president said.
