137 schoolchildren who were abducted from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, have been safely released and have arrived at the Government House in Kaduna, according to the Kaduna State Government.
The release was announced on Sunday by Governor Uba Sani in a statement.

The governor clarified that the initial report of 287 abducted schoolchildren was inaccurate, and the actual number abducted on March 7, 2024, was 137.
