Moments after the Vice President of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo officially declared to contest for the top job in the country, irate Nigerians have lambasted the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for eulogizing  President Muhammadu Buhari and stating that he would build on his legacies.
Recall that Osinbajo in the early hours of Monday morning declared to run under the aegis of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In his speech, Osibajo said,  “I am today, with utmost humility formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of APC.”
The former Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri was the first to tongue-lash the Vice President, stating that his speech was watery and that he was on a destruction mission.
The activist said:  “Osinbajo’s declaration speech was watery. He says he is running to “complete the task” that Buhari started! Buhari started extreme poverty and overwhelming security for Nigeria. If Osinbajo is running to “complete” that task, then he is running to destroy Nigeria!”
The historian also described Osinbajo’s position as preposterous.

He said Osinbajo said he is running to “provide jobs for millions”. The fellow has been in charge of Nigeria’s economy for the last 7 years, according to Buhari himself. Yet, Nigerians have lost millions of jobs created by other administrations. His job record is abysmal!

Osinbajo said he wants to “birth the expectations of greatness” for Nigeria. Under his leadership of Buhari’s economic management team, Nigeria became the world headquarters for extreme poverty. Nigeria does not need more of Osinbajo’s type of ‘expectations’!
Reno also videoes President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure as total fiasco as the Vice President poised as an intellectual, yet with nothing to show on the past seven years.
“For years, Osinbajo posed as an intellectual. So, at the very least, we expected his declaration speech to be filled with his achievements. Instead, all we got were promises. Empty promises. Because he and Buhari have no achievements to show for their wasted 7 years”
Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, was the next to join in the torrents of criticism trending on Twitter.
Sani accused Osinbajo of several denials to run as president before he finally admits and declares. By implication, Sani insinuates that Osinbajo is not straightforward by not being a man of his words.
Bolatito Rinu Oduala, Nigerian human rights activist, brand influencer, and media strategist quizzed the aspiring president on what the nation has enjoyed during his seven years in the Federal Powers.
“How exactly has our country benefited with you in power for the past seven years, sir?” she asked, posting immediately under his tweet.
“Security? Education? Police reforms? Food prices? Power generation?”
A Twitter user, @danielboluwatife said Nigerians are not market women and that Osinbajo has been unable to influence good security reforms while working closely with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Boluwatife said “Osinbajo with the packaging, we are not market women so this one no chop us. But first, I have one thing to ask this man, how did you serve under this tyranny for 7 years, comfortably, how did you watch people suffer and die? how? even if you couldn’t act, you were silent and watching.”
Adetutu Balogun, a Twitter, sensation and political prophetess had initially hinted on Sunday night that Osinbajo was going to declare for Presidency on Monday morning.
