The presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church, Dr. David Oyedepo, has given reason for his quietness on national issues in recent times.

Speaking on the third day of the weeklong Shiloh 2022 on Thursday night, the bishop said Nigeria’s destiny is hanging as everything is currently zero.

The theme of this year’s Shiloh is Covenant Highways. As of Thursday, a total of 50 nations were represented at Canaanland, Ota, headquarters of the Living Faith Church in Nigeria.

Dr. Oyedepo said he warned Nigerians sternly in 2015 about the evil that was about to befall the country with the election of current Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.

“I cried and shouted myself out, warning people about the impending calamity but I was insulted by many people. Now, everything is zero,” he said.

He clarified his disinterest in Nigerian politics, saying, ” I am not a politician, I don’t belong to any party, I am a prophet of the Most High God. God appoints people into the prophetic office, it is by grace.”

On Nigeria’s current situation and the forthcoming election, he said, “The destiny of Nigeria is hanging.  What Nigeria needs now is a deliverer. Some people are busy distributing money already. God will send us a deliverer and give us rest again in Nigeria.”

He urged the people to pray for Nigeria’s rescue. “Nigeria is long overdue for rest. I have been quiet. The church is the only institution giving a flint of honour to Nigeria. The church is at peace, but they are in crisis.

“The shame of this nation will roll away. It shall not be well with everyone destroying Nigeria.”
