A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the police’s application to remand 124 EndBadGovernance protesters for 60 days pending the conclusion of investigations.

Justice Emeka Nwite made the ruling on separate ex-parte motions moved by Ibrahim Mohammed, counsel for the Inspector-General of Police.

The suspects, who are between 14 and 34 years old, were alleged to have committed acts of terrorism, treason, and arson. They were arrested for participating in the EndBadGovernance protest, which the police claimed was contrary to various laws, including the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022.
