Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has inaugurated the governing council of 13 federal universities.
Inaugurating the councils in Abuja on Monday, the minister charged members to come up with ideas that will boost the internally generated revenue of the universities, which he described as the major area of challenge in Nigeria’s higher institutions.
While charging the councils to comply with federal character in the appointment of staff, he said that they should block all the loopholes through which the internally generated revenues of the universities vanished.
