Man rescued after plunging into Osun River in suicide attempt

A man identified as Oladeji Saheed was rescued on Monday morning after he attempted suicide by jumping into the Osun River in Osogbo, Osun State.
The man has reportedly tried several times to commit suicide by jumping into the Osun River, finally succeeding on Monday around 7 am.
He was, however, rescued through the combined efforts of residents, the Federal Fire Service, and O’Ambulance personnel.

Residents also revealed that the man lives without relatives along the bank of the Osun River.
He is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed medical facility.
The attempted suicide comes days after another lady committed suicide by jumping from the Gbodofon bridge into the Osun River.
