The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, has offered his condolences to the Kingdom of Morocco following the devastating earthquake that occurred on Friday.
In a press statement released on Sunday, Adesina expressed the bank’s readiness to provide support to the affected region.
The earthquake has resulted in the loss of over 2,000 lives and caused extensive damage to infrastructure valued at millions of dollars.
Adesina emphasized that the bank will prioritize assistance for the protection of health facilities and the provision of clean drinking water to alleviate further hardships.
