Nigeria ended their 2021 AFCON campaign following a 1-0 loss to Tunisia in the Round of 16 in Garoua on Sunday.
Nigeria was the only team with a 100 percent record in the group stages, having won all their three matches against Egypt (1-0), Sudan (3-1), Guinea Bissau (2-0) respectively.
But Tunisia, who lost twice in the group stage and only went through as one of the best third-place teams, eliminated Nigeria in the first game of the knockout stage.
