The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has replied to the Ohaneze Ndigbo over appeal to zone the party’s presidential ticket to South East in 2023.

The opposition party said they are yet to decide where their presidential candidate will come in 2023.

The Mohammed Bala-led committee had earlier recommended that the opposition party should throw the 2023 Presidential ticket open for every region of the country.

In reaction to the committee’s recommendation, Ohaneze Ndigbo said it is worrisome that the committee recommended no-zoning for the 2023 election. The apex Igbo body said it is the turn of the South-East to provide the president in 2023 after President Muhammad Buhari’s administration.

Ohaneze Ndigbo also said the South West and South-South have ruled under former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, they urged all political parties to zone their presidential ticket to South East in 2023.
