South Africa’s women football team, Banyana Banyana, beat Nigeria’s Super Falcons 4-2 to win the maiden edition of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Tournament at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos State on Tuesday.

SA started the game on the front foot after an own goal by Nigeria international Alozie Chidi put them in front less than 5 minutes into the game.

A 17th-minute penalty goal followed, and just three minutes before the break, the Falcons conceded again, going into halftime knowing the herculean task that was awaiting.
